A Waitt Institute of Discovery project, in collaboration with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. Open Boat Films served as freelance camera and field producer, documenting shipboard research activities. Scientists from University of Florida and engineers from Woodshole Oceanographic Institute were studying the deep coral reefs off the coast of Florida. They used state-of-the-art untethered, high definition sonar equipped AUVs to map sea floor habitats.
